Jerome Adolph Mikolaitis

Jerome Adolph Mikolaitis, age 72, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Bethany Beach, DE died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Mikolaitis was born on October 7, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Stella Majeska Mikolaitis. He began his career in the food industry as a teenager, later acquiring a degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Food Marketing. Following his formal education he continued working in sales, retiring as a Regional Manager with Bruce Foods. He continued working as a Real Estate Agent until retiring to Bluffton, SC. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, karaoke, and having a good time in general, but most importantly he loved his family. Mr. Mikolaitis is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Susan M. Mikolaitis; daughters, Wendy Sloan and Linda Garufi (Russell); son, Stephan Maybroda (Michael) and step-son, George W. Maybroda (Jacqueline); brother, Robert Mikolaitis; and grandchildren, Megan and Christopher Sloan as well as Alysha, Julia, and Zane Maybroda. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
