Jerome Lewis Obermeyer

Jerome Lewis Obermeyer, 76, passed away peacefully on December 4 ^th , 2021.  Jerry was born in Batesville, IN to Paul Obermeyer and Rita Fledderman.  At the time of death, he was retired. He started his career as a tool and die maker, worked to a Vice President of a car stamping plant, and retired from the automotive manufacturing world shortly after.  His greatest accomplishment of his career is his family.

Jerry is survived by his wife Kim, who he loved with all his heart, his siblings Jean Cowan (Dick), Esther Keller (Jack), Shirley Neale (Bill), Paul Obermeyer (Michele), Paulette Hoover (Tim), and Mavin Obermeyer (Kim), and his children Jeffrey Obermeyer (Debb), Mark Obermeyer (Denise), Steve Obermeyer (Christy), Matthew Obermeyer (deceased), Lee Burns (Sarah), and Niki Smith (Jason).  He adored his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Jerome was preceded in death by his son, Matthew, his parents, and his beloved dogs.

He regularly visited the British Open Pub.  He was passionate in his love for bourbon, golf, all things music, and his puppies.

A private family memorial service will be held on December 9, 2021. In lieu of flowers, expressions of love can be sent in Jerry’s memory to a local animal shelter of your choosing.
