Jerry Joseph Erzen

Jerry Joseph Erzen, 67, of Hilton Head Island, SC and formerly of Naperville IL, Sheboygan, WI and Galena, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in the Hilton Head Medical Center from complications following a fall.He was born in Sheboygan, WI on March 4, 1941. He was the son of Doris Meyer Erzen and the late Joseph Jerry Erzen.He graduated from Sheboygan Central (WI) High School in 1959 and graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) in 1963. He received his MBA from Loyola University (Chicago) in 1974. He worked for Armak/AkzoNobel for 33 years, retiring as a Worldwide Manufacturing Manager in Functional Chemicals.He married the love of his life, Sue, on September 15, 1962. They raised their 2 children in Naperville, IL. After Jerry and Sue retired, they split their year between their homes in Galena, IL and Hilton Head Island, SC and developed a wonderful circle of friends at both places.He loved to travel the world with Sue. He was determined to use the million air miles that he had accumulated while working for Akzo. He took such pride and joy in his children and his grandchildren. Every summer he would drive to Minnesota to watch and help out with his grandchildren
