Jesse Brandon Burnett

Jesse Brandon Burnett, 43, of Bluffton, SC went home to be with his Lord December 14, 2023, as the result of a vehicle accident. He was born June 20, 1980, in Morganton, NC to Sammy Burnett and the late Cathy Burnett.

Jesse graduated in the 1998 class of East Rowan High School in Salisbury, NC, where he played soccer and baseball. He continued his education at UNC Charlotte where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and graduated in 2003.

While in college, he began a career with Central Garden and Pet through a test program of merchandising Pennington Lawn Care products in national hardware chains. His part-time role during school led to a number of jobs within the Central Garden and Pet company. While employed he earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Kaizen Leadership designation.

Jesse had a profound love for his children and was often seen with them around Bluffton Youth Sports venues, at the beach or at local parks. He loved fishing, grilling or smoking any kind of meat, eating and sharing a good meal, making and listening to music. Jesse was a self-taught guitar player, impressing many with his ear for music and his ability with a guitar. He occasionally even impressed with his singing.

Jesse loved people and left a lasting impression on everyone he was around. He had a big heart and was giving of his time and resources to help most anyone that asked of him. Jesse was a loving Dad, Husband, Brother, Son, Neighbor and Friend.

Jesse was preceded in death by his mother Cathy. He is survived by his wife Staci of the home, daughter Kali age 8 of the home, son Buchanan age 10 (nicknamed Chanan and pronounced “cannon”) of Bluffton, SC, stepson Brody age 12 of the home, sister Samantha Cranford, niece McKenna Cranford and nephew Chandler Cranford of Kannapolis, NC, his Dad Sammy Burnett and Stepmom Sheila of Conover, NC plus numerous other nieces, nephews and in-laws.

A memorial service for Jesse will be held at 12:00pm Friday December 22, 2023, at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton, SC. The family will receive friends preceding the service at 11:00am. Additionally, a Celebration of Life service will be held Friday December 29, 2023, at Startown First Baptist Church 2615 Sigmon Dairy Rd. Newton, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:30pm with service immediately after. Anyone in attendance will be encouraged and welcomed to tell a favorite story or anecdote about Jesse. This service is meant to be a true celebration of Jesse’s life.
