Jim Renauer

Jim Renauer of Bluffton, SC passed away peacefully at home on October 19th of 2023.

Jim was born on February 2nd, 1943 and lived a very unique life residing in both Argentina and Brazil during his formative teen years.  He then joined the Navy as a Dental Assistant serving near San Francisco, CA.  This is where he met his true love, Charlotte (married for 50 yrs.).  They soon moved Toledo, OH and Jim began a successful career at the Devilbiss Co., where he was able to use his Spanish and Portuguese fluency to work-travel to every country in Central & South America.

In retirement, he and Char moved to Sun City Hilton Head, SC fall of 2003.  Jim re-invented himself here, and became an amazing Woodworker, putting to use his creativeness and love of entrepreneurship, to become a true Artist of anything Wood.

He continues to be loved by his immediate family - Jim & Elizabeth, Brian & Molly, and his beautiful grandchildren; Megan, Ruth, and Quinn.  He will be interred in summer 2025, along with Charlotte, at Beaufort National Cemetary, SC.
