On Monday, December 9, 2019, Jimmy Campos, loving son, husband, father, brother, and Papa, passed away at the age of 51.
Jimmy was born in Santa Monica, California on August 16, 1968 and later moved his family across country to Bluffton, South Carolina. He was a man of many talents and interests. Throughout his life, he was a business owner, realtor, entrepreneur and more. He had a constant thirst for knowledge but was as much of a teacher as he was a diligent student. Regardless of the venture, he always approached it with passion, grace and an overwhelming sense of love.
He is survived by Tammy, his wife of 30 years and high school sweetheart, Alyssa and Vanessa, his two daughters, Chris, his son-in-law, Anthony, Brycen and Leo, his grandsons who allowed to fulfill his proudest role as their Papa, his mother, Guadalupe Campos, and his nine siblings: Moises Campos (Sara), Ester Campos, Juan Campos (Iris), Ruben Campos, Guadalupe Avalos, David Campos (Febe), Leticia Mendoza (Hector), Blanca Huerta (Luis) and Julissa Atkins (Mark).
We know he was especially eager to meet his late grandson, Cash, in Heaven.
The most special thing about Jimmy was the love and light he brought to so many lives. He treated everyone he met with respect and greeted everyone with a smile. His laugh was contagious, frequent and is a sound that will be missed (and imitated) by many.
There will be a service to honor his life on Hilton Head Island, SC at 4pm this Saturday at Central Church and a second in Downey, CA. He will be laid to rest alongside his father at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
