Joann Murdaugh Pittinger

JoAnn Murdaugh Pittinger, age 76, passed away suddenly on July 20, 2018 at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN while visiting her daughter. JoAnn was born December 8, 1941 in Early Branch, SC to the late Cornelius F. and Erneal DeLoach Murdaugh. JoAnn attended the University of South Carolina and was a member of the Sand Hill Baptist Church. JoAnn was a former Restaurant Manager who had a friendly smile for the locals and tourists. JoAnne, in addition to her parents, was predeceased by her beloved husband, John James Pittinger; her brothers, Clifton and James; and grandchild, Dean A. Pittinger Jr. She is survived by her sons, Dean A. Pittinger (Cindy) and Dee Kelly A. Pittinger (Tonya) all of Early Branch and Duane A. Pittinger (Norma) of Bluffton; her daughter, Deneen Bonneville (Daniel) of Dandridge, TN; her brothers, Franklin Murdaugh (Queenie) of Hampton and Wesley Murdaugh (Francis) of Hilton Head; her sisters, Mary Peeples of Early Branch and Loraine Ferguson of Beaufort; her grandchildren, John Dallas Pittinger, Dustin Pittinger, Andrew Carr, April Heath, Dee Kelly A. Pittinger Jr. and Ali Pittinger. Please visit with the family on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland. JoAnn’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Noon in the Adnah Methodist Church Cemetery, Islandton, SC.
