Joanne Mitchell

JoAnne Mitchell, age 80 of Bluffton and wife of Morris R. Mitchell passed away on February 16, 2016 at her home. She was born on December 26, 1935 in Wayne, Michigan to the late Elva and Herman Meyer. Upon graduating from High School, JoAnne served as a secretary for a large trucking company delivering new Ford vehicles from Detroit. In 1959 she married Morris R. Mitchell and moved to the State of Maryland. JoAnne worked as an Executive Secretary and Accountant prior to her retirement and helped her husband establish their own business. JoAnne was very important to their business which was later sold to a public company. In 2004 JoAnne and her husband retired to Sun City, Hilton Head. In addition to her beloved husband, JoAnne is survived by one sister, nephews and nieces. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm until the hour of the service.
