Johanna Lynn Roberts

It is with a broken heart that we regretfully announce, on Friday October 14, Johanna Lynn Roberts' journey on earth ended and her new life in Heaven began. Johanna had proclaimed with her voice that Jesus Christ is her Lord and Savior. We are blessed with full faith and confidence in the love and mercy of God for our sweet daughter.

Johanna was born on August 5, 1996, in Bluffton, South Carolina. She graduated from ACE in 2015. She participated in many local youth sports. Her favorite was being a Bulldog cheerleader. She was a member of the Lowcountry Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol and held the grade of Cadet CMSgt. She received 2012-13-14 Aerospace excellence award, 2012 SC. Encampment; Spirit award, 2013 Most improved Cadet award, 2014 VFW NCO of the year award, and in 2014 Completed Region Cadet Leadership School.

If anybody needed anything, and Jojo had only one, she would still give it to them. Jojo had an infectious and cheerful attitude that spread to the people around her. She loved bringing joy and smiles to others with silly faces and corny puns. She had a passion to bring joy to the elderly and would visit local nursing homes. One of her favorite people, was her grandmother, who taught her, her corny ways.

She was preceded in death by her Aunt Nancy Louise Roberts and her Uncle James Edward Roberts, of Brockton, MA, her Paternal Grandfather, Francis (Jocko) Roberts and Grandmother Ann E. Roberts, both of Hilton Head, her Uncle Robert Hanron of Hull, MA, and her cousin, Shayne M. Roberts of Hilton Head.

Johanna is survived by her 2 daughters, Marleigh Ann Beam of Ridgeland, SC and Layla Sage Roberts of Bluffton, SC, her parents, John W and Sandra Roberts of Bluffton. Her Aunt Ellen (Dennis) Melchionne of Hilton Head, SC, Aunt Catherine Hanron of Windsor, CA, Uncle Frank (Lisa) Roberts, Uncle Michael (Sheila) Roberts, her cousins, Beth Petro, Denise Ivey, John T. Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, Tucker Roberts, Ellie Roberts, Anthony J. Petro, Trevor Ivey, Kingston Roberts, Julian Roberts, and Brody Roberts of Hilton Head and Ridgeland SC.

A memorial for the family and friends of John and Sandra Roberts will be held at Central Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 30th, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Johanna's honor to Helping Hands, Healing Hearts or Caring Neighbors, Bluffton SC.

Never have we met a sweeter or kinder soul. Till we see each other again, our Brown Eyed Girl. Bye-bye for now.
