John (Jack) Childs

John (Jack) Childs, 82 of Sun City, died peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville. He was born in Derby, Connecticut on January 4, 1927.He served in the Army in World War II in the European Theatre of Operations. He was in banking in New York and in Michigan. After retiring from banking, he had his own search firm in Troy, Michigan. He lived in Michigan for 40 years before moving to Sun City in 1999.He was a former member of the Sun City Tennis Club, Okatie Creek Golf Club, the Travel Club and the Okatie Creek Duplicate Bridge Club.He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jo, and his three children, Paul Childs, Ron Childs and Auralee Childs (Jim Smith).
