John C. De Jong

John (Jack) C. DeJong, 81 of Bluffton, SC  passed away peacefully on November 11, 2022. Jack grew up in Denver, CO. Jack was a lifelong animal lover, and used his passion as a livestock health consultant for Wane Feeds and Mastermix. After retirement, he enjoyed a second career as a corporate recruiter. “Papa Jack” was also very passionate about his grandsons,and was closely involved in their athletic and academic pursuits.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife Pauline (nee Calvo) and his parents, John and Helen (nee Williams) DeJong. Jack is survived by his daughters Colleen (Jay) Berliner and Jessica DeJong, his grandsons Jonathan and Nicholas Berliner, his brother Jim (Sharon) DeJong, his sister Judy DeJong, his companion Noreen Dutton and his beloved dog Max. A celebration of life will be held at Sauls Funeral Home, Bluffton, SC on Monday, Dec. 19th at 1:00 pm.
