John David Huberty

John David Huberty, 26 of Hardeeville, SC passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at his home in Hardeeville, SC. He was born in Oakland, CA on August 31, 1984. He was the son of John (Jay) William Huberty and Christine Mauro-Huberty.He was a film maker, artist, and designer. He was a graduate of Hilton Head High School and attended Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, UT. He received his Associates Degree in Recording Arts and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Film Making from Fullsail University. He is survived by his father and mother, John (Jay) William Huberty and Christine Mauro-Huberty of Hilton Head Island, SC; one sister, Megan Huberty of Hilton Head Island, SC; maternal grandmother, Colleen Mauro of Redwood City, CA; aunt and uncle, Deborah Breide and Charles McKinney of Pleasant Hill, CA; uncle and aunt, John and Sue Mauro of Calistoga, CA, uncle and aunt, Mark and Janet Mauro of Redwood City, CA; uncle and aunt, Grant K. and Carol W. Huberty of Woodside, CA; cousins, Weston Huberty of Utah, Ian Trotier of San Francisco, CA, Sarah Leoni of Utah, Cory Huberty of United Kingdom and J. Duncan Trotier of United Kingdom. He was predeceased by Grandfather, John Thomas Mauro; grandparents, John and Helen Huberty and cousin, Emily Breide.The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm til 8:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.The family requests memorial gifts be made to Beaufort County Chapter, NAMI or the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation (BBRFoundation.org).A private memorial gathering will be held for the family.
