John Daniel (Jack) Schmidt

John (Jack) Daniel Schmidt, 76, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2009 at his home in Bluffton, SC.He was born in Chicago, IL on July 26, 1933. He was the son of the late Steven and Margaret Schmidt.He was a Catholic and a member of the Golf League of Sun City. He sold Industrial Chemicals to the steel industry.He is survived by his wife, Jean L. Schmidt of Bluffton, SC; five children, Kimberly (Butch) Alanis of Houston, TX, Michael (Ann) Schmidt of Chicago, IL, Karen (Marc) Oprean of Minneapolis, MN, Stephanie (Matt) Jurkovich of Cleveland, OH and Cydney (Alan) Hauser of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren, Clint (Mary Beth), Ashley, Dustin (Jennison), Michael, Alison, Kelsey, Paige, Adam and Josh; one great grandson, Cameron and many nieces, nephews and friends.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 2, 2009.
