John "Jack" Joseph Schosser

John Joseph “Jack” Schosser, 93, of Bluffton, SC passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home.

Jack was born October 6, 1930 in Sharon, PA to the late Jacob Schosser and Genevieve McGowan Schosser. He served in the United States Navy, a veteran of the Korean War, and retired as District Manager for the Canteen Food and Vending Company. Upon moving to Bluffton, Jack became a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and was very involved in many clubs, such as the Sun City Veterans Club, Woodworkers Club, Computer Club, the Sun City Lions Club, and the Irish Heritage Club.

Jack is survived by his sons, John William Schosser of Lexington, KY and Paul Martin Schosser of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Catherine Mary Carter of Canton, GA; one brother, Edward Schosser (Marsha) of Hobe Sound, FL; three sisters, Kathleen Kosty of West Middlesex, PA, Gloria Douglas of Brookfield, OH, and Joan Webb (Melvin) of West Middlesex, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Catherine Schosser; brother, Robert Schosser, and his sisters, Sabina Vath and Dolores Cremonese.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Dr., Bluffton with inurnment to follow in Resurrection Garden. A live-stream of the mass will be available at sgg.cc
