John W. Meier

John (Jack) W. Meier, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, in Bluffton, SC, at the age of 77. Born on June 10, 1947, in Northampton, MA, to John and Anna May Meier, Jack lived a full and accomplished life, leaving behind a legacy of achievements, cherished memories, and lasting friendships.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Claudia Meier, 54; his three sons - John Meier, 38, and his wife Jackie Stauffer; William Meier, 35, and his wife, Caroline Meier, along with their daughter, Jack’s cherished granddaughter, Madeline Meier; and Eric Meier, 32. Additionally, he is survived by his two sisters, Judith A. Engster, and her husband, William, of Brewster, MA, and Christina M. McMahon and her husband, Brian, of West Hartford;

Jack graduated from Suffield Academy and earned his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University, where he proudly played on the university’s last undefeated football team. He later received his Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.

His professional career spanned several decades in the food products industry, where he held leadership roles at companies including Heublein, Ocean Spray, PepsiCo, and Del Monte. Later, he pursued his entrepreneurial aspirations by purchasing and operating a printing company, Wolf Colorprint, which he successfully ran for more than 20 years.

Jack was passionate about discovering new places and ideas. He had a lifelong love for travel, architecture, boating, photography, music, and sports - especially Yankees baseball and Giants football. He was known for his insightful mind, vibrant spirit, and enthusiastic personality that drew people to him wherever he went.

He leaves behind a legacy of friendship, integrity, and heartfelt connection. From colleagues to neighbors to friends across the globe, Jack touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
