John Michael Morrissey

John Michael Morrissey, 52, of Bluffton, departed this life suddenly on May 12, 2012 in Bluffton. John was born November 18, 1959 to the late Frank and Catherine Murphy Morrissey in New York City, the third of seven children. John spent his early childhood and most of his adult life in New York City and Bay Shore, NY. He joined the New York City Department of Correction in 1984, becoming CO Moe and met one of the loves of his life, (Henrietta) Anita Newton. After retiring with 20 years of service, in 2005 he and Anita decided to enter a new beginning in Bluffton, SC.In Bluffton, he was employed by the University of South Carolina from 2005 to 2010 as a Public Safety Officer. After 6 months of retirement, he again sought employment and began working for Auberge Resorts at Palmetto Bluff as an employee shuttle driver, a position he loved.John leaves in God
