John Michael Mosellen

John Michael Mosellen, 69, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2017 after a long illness. Mike was a resident of Wilbraham, MA for 38 years before moving to Sun City Hilton Head in Bluffton, SC in 2016. Born in McKeesport, PA on December 16, 1948, he was the son of the late Jack and Sally Mosellen. Mike received his bachelor’s degree from Walsh College in Canton, Ohio and joined the U.S. Navy Reserves after graduation. He spent his career as a sales manager in the kitchen appliance business. Mike enjoyed gardening, serving as the chairman of the Wilbraham Community Garden for many years. He also enjoyed body surfing, exploring ancient ruins and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who know him including his loving wife of 45 years, Kathleen (Rogers) Mosellen, his son Christopher Mosellen and his wife Joanne of Orinda, CA, his sister Patricia (Donald) Hillman, his brother James (Ida) Mosellen and his brother-in-law William (Patricia) Rogers, and his cherished grandchildren Julia Grace and Nicholas David Mosellen. He was predeceased by his son David Michael Mosellen in 2004. A Memorial Service will be held on April 21, 2018 at Sampson Chapel of the Acres, Springfield, MA.
