John Francis Peeples

John Francis Peeples, 69 of Grays, SC and husband of 46 years to Judy Mishoe Peeples, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at his home. He was born in Ridgeland, SC on December 12, 1944 to the late Henry C. and Lottie Thomas Peeples. He was a farmer and cattleman and had retired from Westinghouse Corporation after 41 years. He was a member of the Cypress Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting , fishing, riding his tractor and his Wednesday trips to the Orangeburg stockyards. In addition to his beloved wife, Judy, he is survived by his son, John David Peeples (Carina) of Grays, SC; his daughter, Tricia Anne Crosby (Kerry) of Grays, SC; one brother, William Peeples of Walterboro, SC; two sisters, Maree Goethe (Billy Brown) of Nixville, SC and Magdalene Goethe (Jack) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, John David Peeples Jr. and Emily Cox; his sister in law, Frances Thomas of Grays, SC and his puppies, Zoey and Allie. He was predeceased by his brothers, Harold Thomas, Ozzie Peeples and Robert Peeples and his sister, Onoree Nelson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 9, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC with burial in Mt. Carmel Methodist Church Cemetery, Nixville, SC. The family will receive friends from 4 til 6 on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland. The family requests memorial donations be made in memory of John Peeples to Amedysis Hospice, 203-A and 203-B Eddie Chasteen Drive, Walterboro, SC 29488.
