John P. Reneau, Jr.

John Reneau, 95, died peacefully at his home on June 29, 2022.  He was born to John and Marie Reneau on May 1, 1927 in Beloit, WI.  John took early graduation from high school to join the Navy.  He was discharged in 1946 and enrolled at The University of Wisconsin.  A few years after graduating he decided to further his education at The University of Denver where he earned his Ph.D in 1960.  He spent the next four years in post doctoral studies at The University of Iowa Medical School in Iowa City and the Institute of Medical Physics in Utrecht, The Neatherlands.  In 1964 John joined the staff at Central Wisconsin Center as director of speech and hearing research, a position he held until his retirement.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Betty.  He is survived by his wife Caroline, sons Jon (Julie), Jai (Jean), daughter Tauna (Lazaro), brother Robert (Carol) three wonderful grandchildren and five beautiful great grandchildren.

After retirement he spent many enjoyable years playing golf and making new friends in Sun City.

A family celebration of John’s life will be held in Wisconsin in the fall.
