John Eugene Rivers

John Eugene Rivers, 65, of Estill, SC passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in the Memorial Medical Center, Savannah, GA.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on April 20, 1945. He was the son of the late James Franklin and Myrtist Carter Rivers Jr. He was a Truck Driver for Wall Timber Company. He was a Baptist and a member of the Scotia Baptist Church. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and always put his family first.He is survived by his wife, Gloria Crews Rivers of Estill, SC; two sons, Keith Eugene Rivers of Estill, SC and John Kevin (Crystal) Rivers Sr. of Brunson, SC; one brother, Sidney Rivers of Estill, SC; two sisters, Mary (Ed) Vernoy of Beaufort, SC and Sheila Mixon of Estill, SC; six grandchildren, Brett M. Rivers; Brittany Ashton Rivers, Kimber Elizabeth Rivers, Amber Renea Rivers, John Kevin Rivers Jr. and Wiley Jack Rivers. He was predeceased by brother, Jack J. Rivers and sisters, Kathryn Cleland and Myrtist C. Draughan.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Lawtonville Cemetery, Estill, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 til 8, Monday, January 31, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W.
