John Walter Sloss

John Walter Sloss, 74, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Hospice House in Savannah, GA. He was born on September 7, 1940 in Tillman, SC to the late Pete Garcia Sloss and Purnell Drawdy Sloss. He was retired Civil Service at Hunter Army Airfield Commissary; presently employed by Jasper County Recycling Centers; member, Family Harvest Ministries of Ridgeland; former member, Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of Tillman; loved his family, children and grandchildren and enjoyed freshwater fishing. He is survived by his wife, Jean Long Sloss of Ridgeland, SC; son, J. Chris Sloss (Sherry) of Ridgeland, SC; daughters, Robin DuPont of Okatie, SC; Rachel Brown (Bradley) of Ridgeland, SC; grandchildren, Ashley, Bobby, Tabitha, Christopher, Shannon, Corey, Caitlyn and Bailey; great grandchildren, Olivia, A.J., Kiana, Isiah, Taylor, Ethan, Armar, Amiee, Callie and Avianna. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Sauls. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, SC with burial in Ridgeland Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the funeral home.
