John Howard Taylor

John Howard Taylor, 66, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at his home on Hilton Head Island, after a courageous battle with cancer. John was a 1966 graduate of Bradford University, England. He worked for Akzo Nobel for over thirty years in various position in England, Chicago and Singapore and retired in 2008. After moving to Hilton Head Island, John served as a volunteer at the Heritage Golf Tournaments. He was a board member of the Port Royal Golf Club. John is survived by his wife, Jolanta Taylor of Hilton Head; his son, Karl Benedek (Tonya Cronkright) of Eugene, OR; 2 daughters, Emily Benedek (Daniel Ogiba) of Minneapolis, MN and Stephanie Maxwell (Daniel) of Aurora, IL; a sister, Alison Boothroyd (Graham) of England; 2 nephews; and one grand-daughter, Audrey Maxwell. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis by The Sea Catholic Church, 45 Beach City Road, Hilton Head Island at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 .
