John Frederick Waterman

Bluffton- John Frederick Waterman, age 77, died in Bluffton, SC on September 16, 2022.  He was born in Providence, RI on April 21, 1945, son of Raymond Reed Waterman and Mary Elizabeth (Brooks) Waterman.

John graduated from Johns Hopkins University, class of 1967.  Following graduation, John served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in the finance industry and ended his career as Chief Financial Officer for a care facility in Westhampton, NY. He married his wife, Belinda Kidd Waterman in 2000.  His interests included golf, coin collecting, and boating.

In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his first wife, Carol (Hyman) Waterman and his sister, Barbara R. Waterman.  He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Belinda Kidd Waterman of Bluffton and her children, Michael Jason Baylin of Towson, MD and wife, Amy Baylin; Kevin A. Baylin of York, Pa., and wife, Desiree H. Baylin; and Lauren B. Bernhardt of Baldwin, MD, and husband Daniel Bernhardt, Jr.   John is also survived by six grandchildren: Cameron B. Bernhardt, Sydney E. Baylin, Delaney L. Bernhardt, Jackson R. Baylin, Petra A. Baylin, and Ryleigh H. Bernhardt, as well as several nieces and nephews.  John had many other friends and family who loved him.
