John Howard Westphal , 74, of Bluffton, SC, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his home in Bluffton, SC. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 5, 1933. He was the son of the late Howard and Dorothy Turnquist Westphal.He was a retired attorney for Proctor and Gamble; loved to travel, enjoyed golf and spending time with his family.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Westphal of Bluffton, SC; two sons, John William (Terri) Westphal of Nashville, TN and James Howard (Patti) Westphal of Union, KY; one daughter, Carolyn Ann Westphal of Bluffton, SC; one sister, Judith Waggoner of Bloomfield Hills, MI and grandchildren.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 18, 2008 in the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
