Johnnie Harriet Mixson Smith

Johnnie Harriet Mixson Smith, 80, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Unihealth Post Acute Care in Estill, SC. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on September 28, 1933 to the late Eli Mixson and Nettie Mae Stanley Mixson. She was a Homemaker; a retiree of Palmetto Electric Cooperative after many years of service and she was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and working in her yard. She is survived by her husband, William Lee Smith; two sons, Sherwood Smith (Robin) and Keith Smith (Meredith), all of Grays, SC; daughter, Lisa Elliott (Warren) of Grays, SC; grandchildren, Joshua House, Warren Smith, Jacob Lyons, Adam Lee Smith, Elisha Smith, Tangie Ohmer and Christina Jones; great grandchildren, Jaylen House, Tess House, Louis Smith, Logan Smith, Briana Ohmer, Tyler Ohmer and Hunter Ohmer. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Chasity Smith. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the hour of service at the church. Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements.
