Jon David Manock

Jon David Manock, 84 passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Coastal Carolina Hospital.He was born in Peoria IL on September 5, 1926. He was the son of the late David and Sara ManockHe was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy on the USS Bonhomme Richard CV31. He graduated from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa and retired as Vice President Claim Department for Travelers Insurance Company after 41 years.He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Maryon R. Dillon Manock of Sun City, SC; three sons, Jon David Manock and wife, Mary Ann Staab of Peoria, IL, Mark Dillon Manock and wife, Catherine Pilpel Manock of Naperville, IL and Matthew McDonna Manock and wife, Joy Jedlicka of Virginia Beach, VA; and one daughter, Mary Bridget Donovan Manock and husband, George Donovan of St. Petersburg, FL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jon, Megan, Caitlin, Morgan, Samantha, Madison and Grant.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 25, 2011.The family requests memorial gifts be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, P.O.
