Bluffton, SC…Jonathan A. Abla of Bluffton, South Carolina passed away August 3, 2016 in Florida. Born March 25, 1986 in Oklahoma City, OK, Jonathan was the son of Stephen Abla and Jill Abla and is survived by his parents, brother Scott (Jenny), sister Kate and maternal grandparents Donald and Dianne Minton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the United States and Lebanon. His faithful companions Chaco and Bowden brought his life unending pleasure and joy. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents. Jonathan was gifted with an extraordinary intellect and intuitive heart not common in this world, which enabled his success both as a friend to all who met him and as a professional poker player. He competed at the highest level having won two World Series of Poker rings. Abla’s commitment to God shone through his daily interactions with all those he encountered. His wit, kindness and generosity towards friends and strangers alike were legendary. A recent graduate of Salvation Oaks Recovery Center (SORC), Jonathan credited the facility for endowing him with a renewed life purpose. He served as a mentor in fellowship to other residents.
