Joseph Patrick Martin

Joseph Patrick Martin, 75 of Bluffton, SC passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at his home.He was born in Plainfield, NJ on September 18, 1934. He was the son of the late Joseph and Vivian Aversa Muglia.He was retired General Contractor who built industrial and commercial buildings in New Jersey and after moving to South Carolina he obtained his South Carolina contractors License. He was a member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He restored and collected classic automobiles. He was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Malita A. Martin of Bluffton, SC; one son, Scott J. (Mary) Martin of Hillsborough, NJ; one daughter, Dawn (Walter) Chittum of Bluffton, SC; two brothers, Robert Muglia and Dr. James Muglia both of New Jersey; and two grandchildren, Jacob Chittum and Ashley Chittum both of Bluffton, SC.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 22, 2010 with inurnment in the Resurrection Garden at Saint Gregory.
