Joseph "Joe" Raymond Adams

Joseph Raymond Adams "Joe" age 83 went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2024. Joe was born in Goldville, SC. on January 28, 1941.

He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany as military police under President Eisenhower. He was discharged and studied at Holmes Bible College and studied to be a barber.

He moved to Hilton Head Island in 1972, fondly known as "Joe the Barber" he ran his own shop out of the Sea Crest Hotel. His favorite work was being on his tractor clearing land. He was preceded in death by his parents William Adams, Ruby Fowler Adams, brother William Adams Jr. and son Jody Hayes.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Clemmer Adams, sister Grace Knight (Holt), sister Barbara Reardon, daughter Angel Cairnes, daughter Christiane Goldstein (Jason), son Steadman Adams (Megan), six grandchildren Savannah (Chil), Tyler, Taylor, Brendan (Ana), William, Grayson and one great grandson Braden.

There will be a private family ceremony.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to Meals on Wheels, Bluffton-Hilton Head.
