Joshua Aaron George

Joshua Aaron George, 17, of Bluffton, SC, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, from injuries suffered in a car wreck early Sunday morning. Josh was a junior at Bluffton High School and Captain of the varsity soccer team. A very popular student, known for his compassion and sense of humor, he was always a caretaker of others.He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Mackey George, his sister, Jessica, his brother, Jacob, his grandparents, Charles and Leona Mackey of Huntington, WV and Louis and Betty George of Hilton Head, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Bluffton High School soccer field. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun St., Bluffton, SC followed immediately by a reception in the parish hall.Josh will be buried beside his father, United States Air Force Major Aaron C. George, at a small graveside service in Huntington, WV on Saturday.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Joshua Aaron George Memorial Scholarship Fund at Sun Trust Bank in Bluffton, SCJoshua will be an organ donor, so that he may continue to help others.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
