A Farewell to Jozsef Fodor

Jozsef Fodor was born in Hungary and lived his childhood during World War 2.

As a young man he became a freedom fighter against the occupying Russian army. Eventually he escaped the communists and ended up in Switzerland.

With $70 in his pocket he went to America with his pregnant wife and 2 year old son. He built a very successful business in the "Land of Opportunity." He raised his family in Cleveland, Ohio. Jozsef retired to Hilton Head Island where he met and fell in love with KC. They had a beautiful 15 years together before he passed away peacefully on September 14th, 2024. He was surrounded by all the people he loved. Jozsef was finally at peace and ready to meet Jesus.

Among his many accomplishments, he was a world class marathon runner and a fantastic tennis player.

He will be missed.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Six Oaks Cemetery, 6 Oaks Ln, Hilton Head Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate) or Tunnel to Towers (https://t2t.org/).
