Juan Douglas Ross

Juan Douglas Ross, 78, of Bluffton, SC died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at his home. He was born in Winchester, VA on May 19, 1930. He was the son of the late Jean D. and Grace Ward Ross.He moved to Bluffton from Rockville, MD in August of 2000. He was a retired Insurance Salesman. He attended Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church and he was a US Army veteran of Korea.He was survived by his wife, Margaret (Peggy) Ross of Bluffton, SC; two sons, Steven W. Ross of Owing Mills, MD and Robin R. Ross of Halethorpe, MD; one daughter, Susan R. (Carey) Sumner of Laurel, MD; three step sons, Thomas F. Leake of Rockville, MD, Alfred A. Leake of Woodbine, MD and Lt. Col. Timothy J. Leake of Blacksburg, VA; two step daughters, Peggy Ann (Lewis) Hicks of Silver Spring, MD and Rosemary E. (Deacon John) DeWolfe of Hilton Head Island, SC; eleven grandchildren, Ian and Cameron Ross, Andrew Sumner, Daniel T., Christine S. Jacqueline M., Adam C., Gregory S., Sean M. Austin T. and Connor T. Leake.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC at 10:30 am on Monday, September 15, 2008.The family will receive friends at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC from 4 til 6 on Sunday, September 14, 2008 with a Rosary Recitation at 5:30 pm.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Hospice Care of America, 460 William Hilton Parkway, Suite F-1, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
