Juanita Lowther Kemmerlin, 89, widow of L.C. "Jack" Kemmerlin, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her home in Sheldon, SC.
She was born in Ridgeland, SC on December 25, 1924 to the late Charles Mitchell Lowther and English Davis Lowther.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired from The Methodist Home in Orangeburg, S.C. She was a member of The Ridgeland Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and she loved traveling and playing bingo. She never met a stranger.
She is survived by her sons, William M. Ryan (Nell) of Sheldon, SC; H. Fredrick Ryan (Geralyn) of Beaufort, SC; J. Lynn Ryan (Beverly) of Evans, GA; brothers, Charles M. Lowther, Jr. and James B. Lowther (Bobbie Jo), all of Ridgeland, SC; eighteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, C. Pinckney Ryan, III; brothers, C. Eugene Lowther, Jack E. Lowther and a sister, Susie L. Saxon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at The Ridgeland Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with burial in the Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the hour of service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Ridgeland Cemetery Fund, PO Box 1630, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
