Judy Ann Smithson

Judy Ann Smithson, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in Beaufort, South Carolina. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Judy carried her Southern roots proudly throughout her life—Go VOLS!

Throughout her years, Judy’s faith remained central. She was known for her quirky sense of humor, loving spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She loved to read and especially enjoyed sewing, a craft through which she shared her creativity and care with family and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Helen; her sisters, Oliva and Norma; her brother, Albert; and her beloved daughter, Jodi (Tony). She is survived by her daughters, Amanda (Wes) and Elizabeth (Bob); her nieces and nephew, Robin, Greg, Tammy, and Sherry; ten grandchildren, including one in heaven; and twenty-one great-grandchildren, with three waiting for their GiGi in heaven.

She will be remembered as a devoted mother, a woman of faith, and a lighthearted soul whose kindness touched many.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, no service will be held.
