Julia Ulmer Rhoad

Julia Ulmer Rhoad, 88, died on April 22, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. A lifelong resident of Bluffton, SC, she was a graduate of Bluffton High School and Columbia College. After returning to school to earn a Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of Georgia, she worked as a school librarian in Bluffton and at Savannah Country Day School. She was predeceased by her husband, Franklin N. Rhoad. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: June Rhoad Salvesen (Ed), Franklin N. (Rusty) Rhoad, Jr. (Kate) and Timothy Paul Rhoad (Maria), and by her three grandchildren Travis, Saxon and Dakota. She will be buried in the old Bluffton cemetery next to her beloved Frank. Funeral services will be private.
