Julie Saucier Monroe, age 78 of Bluffton, South Carolina passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in her home in Sun City.
Julie was born September 16, 1946 in Atlanta Georgia to Joseph E. Saucier Sr. and Dorothy Myrtle Vaughn. She graduated from Bass High School, attended Georgia State University and trained as a histologist at St Joseph Hospital in Atlanta.
She managed a national paramedical services office in Atlanta, Georgia and she was regularly ranked as a top 10 office for the company. She later moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina and owned a paramedical service business in Savannah, Georgia. She later retired in 2001. She married Gary Collins Monroe on June 7, 1968 and they lived in the Atlanta area until 1992 when they moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina. They loved each other dearly and loved doing things together.
Julie loved life! She enjoyed travel, collecting pictures from the places she had experienced, blue and white pottery, decorating, music, mischief and fun. She loved entertaining, talking to everyone and being generous. She enjoyed watching the sun rise and seeing what picture God was painting that day. She loved her family, her friends and her church, but most of all she loved the Lord.
She is survived by her daughter Marcy Monroe Peters and her husband Jeff Peters and her granddaughter Paige Collins Castelvi and her husband Lucas M. Castelvi. She was preceded by her brother Joseph (Joe) E. Saucier, Jr.
A celebration of Julie's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday April 27, 2025 at Cornerstone Church, Bluffton, South Carolina. A livestream of the service will begin at 2:50 pm on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@CornerstoneBluffton/streams
