Katherine H. Benton

Katherine H. Benton, 72 of Hardeeville, SC and wife of E. Burnett Benton passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her home. She was born in Walterboro, SC on April 3, 1943 to William H. and Ellen Catterton Hope. She was a member of the Indian Hill Baptist Church and a cafeteria worker at West Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking for her family, loved flowers and working in her garden. She enjoyed playing baseball with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, E. Burnett Benton of Hardeeville; one son, Mike Benton (Tonya) of Hardeeville; brothers, Bill Hope of Hollywood, FL and Jerry Hope (Theresa) of Hardeeville; her sister, Nancy Hope Turlington (Bob) of Hardeeville; grandchildren, Shane Benton and Travis Benton and great grandchild,Isabella Katherine Benton. She was predeceased by her son, Rodney Edward Benton, her daughter, Cheryl Benton,and her brother, William Harmon Hope. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Indian Hill Baptist Church, Bluffton with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 til 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Indian Hill Baptist Church, Bluffton with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 til 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland.
