Kathryn Elizabeth Malone, 72, of Bluffton, SC died August 8, 2014 at MUSC in Charleston, SC. She was born on July 28, 1942 in New York City, NY the daughter of the late Bernard and Rita Gilligan Malone. She received her PhD from Columbia University and was a college professor at Westchester Community College. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Hardeeville, SC. She is survived by her cousins, Susan Schittone (Ben) of Wayne, NJ, William Crosby (Barbara) of Glen Rock, NJ and Gregory Gilligan (Patricia) of Monroe, NY. The family will receive friends from 3-4pm, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, 90 Simmonsville Road. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Hardeeville, SC. Burial will be held at 10am, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at St. Raymond's Cemetery in Bronx, NY.
