Kenneth O. Baldwin, Jr.

Kenneth O. Baldwin, Jr., passed away in his Bluffton home on March 17, 2023.  He is survived by: his wife Margaret; three daughters: Debbie Heitmann of Hilton Head Island, Donna Baldwin of New Jersey, Denise Prendergast of Virginia; his sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Tony Drabnis of Bluffton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Ken was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Barbara.

Prior to retiring to Hilton Head in 1999, Ken had: fought for his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War; been a member of Plumbers Local 24 in New Jersey; and contributed to life in Watchung, NJ, as a Girl Scout leader, softball coach and choir member.  Ken’s ready smile, gentle demeanor and selfless humility blessed his every interaction over the years.

Ken faithfully served the Lord in and through The Church of the Cross in Bluffton; his ashes will be interred at a later date in the parish’s columbarium overlooking the May River.

Rest eternal grant to Ken, O Lord; and may his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
