Kenneth Campbell Burr, Sr.

Kenneth Campbell Burr, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home Thursday morning, February 23, 2023, surrounded by his family. Kenny was born in Cheraw, SC to John Aaron Burr, Sr. and Allie Mae Hall Burr on May 17, 1942. He was preceded in death by his brothers John Aaron Burr, Jr. and Thomas Edward Burr, and his sister Mary Kathryn Burr. He is survived by his wife, Geri McLin Burr of Bluffton, his two sons, Kenneth Campbell Burr, Jr. of Varnville, SC and Jeremy McLin Burr of Bluffton, and a daughter and son-in-law Erin Campbell Burr and Matthew Pearson Sefick of Mt. Pleasant, SC. In addition to several nieces and nephews, Kenny was blessed with six amazing and beautiful grandchildren Eden Elise Burr, Jackson McLin Burr, Kenneth Campbell Burr, lll (KC), Pearson Sligh Sefick, Lawton Spain Sefick and Lila James Sefick.

Kenny lived a life full of adventure. He loved golf, fishing, boating and his family. He had many achievements in his life. He was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Wofford College, earned a JD degree from USC School of Law, was a PGA Golf Professional, owned a Landscape Company and spent the last fifteen years in service to God. After retirement, Kenny pursued a degree from Duke Divinity and worked for over twelve years as a pastor of the United Methodist Church. As a true lover of life, he never met a stranger and would challenge anyone to try and out dance him in the Shag.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 3 ^rd , at Sauls Funeral Home (90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910) from 4 - 6pm.  Kenny’s memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4 ^th , at Bluffton United Methodist Church (101 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC 29910) at 2pm.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the wonderful staff with Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.
