Kenneth Jesse Houck

Kenneth “Ken” Jesse Houck of Bluffton passed away very unexpectedly on September 12, 2019 at Coastal Carolina Hospital.

Ken was born in Scranton, PA on September 27, 1938, the beloved son of Kenneth G. and Carolyn Houck. He was a scholar athlete who excelled in golf, tennis, swimming and basketball. Ken was an avid sportsman and an Eagle Scout. He was a graduate of Penn State University of Engineering and, also a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity. He received his MBA from Loyola College.

He retired as a Lt. Commander in the US Navy. On October 3, 1965 Ken married Arlene Bach and they became the proud parents of three sons, Ken, Kevin and David. He is survived by his wife, three sons , 8 grandchildren and one sister, Gerrie Hensley. He was preceded in death by his son, David, and sister, Carol Waller.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at Sauls Funeral Home,90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
