Kenneth Pinckney

October 10, 1955 — September 1, 2021

On Wednesday afternoon September 1, 2021, Kenneth Pinckney fell asleep in death at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Georgia after a long battle with his illness.

Son of the late George B. Pinckney & Dorothy Butler Pinckney.  He was born on October 10, 1955, in Ridgeland, South Carolina. He was preceded in death also by three (3) Siblings: Willie George Pinckney Jr., Cliff Pinckney, and Reginald Pinckney.

Kenneth was educated in the public schools of Jasper County, in Ridgeland, SC.  He always enjoyed working with his hands and loved nature and plants. He was an avid, skillful Landscaper like his father.  He had many jobs performing those skills and excelled at his duties.  Prior to his death and due to his illness, he retired from the Hilton Head Recreation Center where he oversaw maintenance and upkeep of the facility.

Later in his life, he professed Christianity and became a member of St Luke Baptist Church in Okatie, South Carolina.

He was outgoing and all who knew him could identify him by his (Big) smile!

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Tasha Pinckney, of Uganda, Africa.

Three Children:  Son, Kenneth (Rebeca) Pinckney of Rochester, New York; (2) Daughters: Kentera (Jade) Pinckney of Greenville, SC and Kendra Pinckney of Uganda, Africa;

Three Sisters: Louise Aiken of Beaufort, SC; Georgia (Lamar) Taylor of Port Royal, SC; and Viller Wiggins of Mooresville, NC.

Grand Uncle:  Edward Pinckney, Sr., of Burton, SC; Uncle Phoenix Mike, Philadelphia, PA.

Aunts: Margaree Mike, Savannah, GA., Rachel Boyd, Okatie, SC., Priscilla Hall, Nettie Mike, Della Mike Thompson, and Annie Mike, all of Philadelphia, PA., Emma Bell of Killeen, TX.

Two Beautiful Grandchildren: Sage Pinckney and Orion Pinckney

Sister in-law: Ronnie Pinckney of North Charleston, SC.; A supportive friend: Valerie Lawrence of Rochester, NY.

A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Kenneth will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
