Kenneth Marion Woods Jr.

Kenneth Marion Woods, Jr., 61, of Point South, SC died Sunday, June 29, 2008 as the result of a motorcycle accident near Coosawhatchie, SC.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on March 1, 1947. He was the son of Margaret A. Woods and the late Kenneth M. Woods, Sr.He was a Construction Superintendent for Cleland Construction Company and a former Highway Patrolman. He was a member of the Port Royal Masonic Lodge #242 and the Omar Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Port Royal Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and riding his motorcycle.He is survived by his wife, Deloris H. Woods of Point South, SC; his mother, Margaret D. Woods of Gillisonville, SC; three sons, Anthony Woods and Richard Woods both of Point South, SC and Christopher Woods of Beaufort, SC; two daughters, Michelle Bowers of Oklahoma and Schelly Tharp of Beaufort, SC; one sister, Linda Gibbs of Hilton Head Island, SC; and grandchildren, Kenneth Lee Woods, AICUSAF, Samantha Woods, Christopher M. Woods, Alexandra R. Woods, Brittany Marie Woods, Chelsea Megan Woods, Justin Allen Woods, Brittany Nicole Woods, Kira Jade Woods and Daphne Marie Woods.Memorial Services will be held at 6:30 pm, Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Gillisonville Baptist Church, Gillisonville, SC.Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
