Kevin Victor Hayes

Kevin Victor Hayes passed away suddenly in Myrtle Beach on January 11, 2012.He was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 27, 1952 to Dolores and Douglas Hayes.He is survived by his wife, Judy Kuspis Hayes of Hilton Head, daughters - Tavia (Kevin) Osterstock of Hilton Head, Tiffany (Greg) Turley of Nokesville, Va. grandsons- Kai and Jett Liska of Hilton Head, Mattox and Ryder Turley of Nokesville, Va. He is also survived by his mother R. Dolores Hayes McNeil of Phoenix, Arizona, sister Mary Michele "Mikie" Hayes of Hilton Head, brothers- Timothy(Carol) Hayes of Phoenix, Az and Damian (Andrea) Hayes of Bluffton and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father Col. Douglas Hayes and Stepfather Robert "Bob" McNeil.Kevin grew up in Springfield Va, graduated from UC-Santa Barbara. Retired from Giant Food, Inc. after 27 years of service in management. He most recently worked part time at The British Open Pub as a bartender. He loved going out west to surf the California coast, had a passion for golf and was fortunate enough to travel and visit his family the last couple of years. He will be deeply missed by his many friends and family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his memory to The British Open Pub Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry P O Box 23019 Hilton Head, SC 29925. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 20, 2012 at 10 AM at St Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, Hilton Head, SC. Interment immediately following the service. Reception afterwards at The British Open Pub-Village at Wexford.
