Kiah O’Brien Iii

Kiah O’Brien III, born February 21, 1942, passed away, surrounded by his family, April 1, 2018. He attended Castleberry High School, North Texas State University, Bridgewater State College, Naval War College, and Georgia Southern University. He taught Music, Drama, and English at Morton Middle School in Fall River, MA, Somerset High School in Somerset, MA, Hilton Head Elementary, Middle, and High School in Hilton Head, SC, and Bluffton High School in Bluffton, SC. He was a 30 year veteran of the United States Navy, retiring as a Navy Captain in 1993. He retired from Low Country Presbyterian Church after over 20 years of serving as the Choir Director in 2015. He is survived by his wife, Anne-Louise O’Brien, his daughter, Bridgit Lawson, his granddaughter, Agnes Lesley Lawson, his brother, Mike O’Brien, and his sister, Karen O’Brien Kilcrease. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
