L. David Jones

L. David Jones, age 73, of Hardeeville, SC and formerly of Greenville and Greer, SC died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born on May 18, 1941 in Greenville, SC, the son of the late Toy Creighton Jones and Allie Bernice Carver Jones. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and attended North Greenville University. He worked for many years as an industrial salesman. He was a former member of the Rotary Club and the Jaycees. He was a member of the Anglican Church of St. George the Martyr. He was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Lynwood and his unborn sister at his mother's death. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jane Stewart Jones; children, Stewart Lee Jones (Dea) of Columbia, SC, Tempie Jones Bowers (Joe) of Columbia, SC, James Stewart Snowden (Jane) of Mullins, SC, and Brana Jane Snowden of Hardeeville, SC; brother, The Most Reverend T. Creighton Jones (Patricia) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and grandson, Anderson Stewart Bowers. A memorial service will be held in Greenville, SC at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Advantage or Agape Hospice. A memorial service will be held in Greenville, SC at a later date.
