La'Keeya "Kiki" J'Nean Gardner

La’Keeya J’Nean Gardner, affectionately called “KiKi”, was born on July 29, 1983 in Beaufort, SC to Lily Mae Singleton and Derone Gardner, Sr. KiKi attended Battery Creek High School and was a 2001 graduate. At an early age, KiKi accepted Christ as her personal savior and became a member of First Heyward Baptist Church in Ridgeland, SC. KiKi attended DSN Program and made a lot of friends until her health declined. KiKi loved to listen to music and watch scary movies.

On Monday, October 18, 2021, God whispered in KiKi’s ear telling her to come on home and take her to rest. La’Keeya was preceeded in death by her two sisters, La’Rhonda and Terina Singleton.

Those left to cherish her memories are; her mother, Lily Mae Singleton of Beaufort, SC; her father, Derone Gardner, Sr. of Washington, DC; two sisters, Pe’Quetta Singleton of Bluffton, SC; Shelia Wright of Yemassee, SC; four brothers, Derone Gardner, Jr. (LaToya) of Beaufort, SC, Brandon Tyler of Yemassee, SC, Chris Brown of Beaufort, SC, and Leroy Orr of Washinton, DC; aunts and uncles, Yvonne (Thomas) Moody, Bertina, Denise, and Mildred Ranson of Washington, DC, William Praylow of Philadelphia, PA, Jackie, Edward, Dennis, and Joseph Ranson of Washington, DC; three grand aunts, Rosa (Lawrence) Bowers, Mary (Isaac) Bryant of Ridgeland, SC, Janie Hicks of Philadelphia, PA; one grand uncle, Johnnie (Pauline) Hicks of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Mount Carmel Baptist Center in Ridgeland, SC. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, SC.
