Lana Sue (Hall) Lewis

Lana Sue Hall Lewis, of Bluffton, SC passed away on September 3, 2024 surrounded by family at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. Born September 25, 1961, in Harlan KY to Burgan and Mary Lois Hall, Lana was gifted with many talents bringing joy to those around her. Lana was blessed to meet the love of her life, Ken, while she was still a teenager and they were married on March 24, 1984. Lana graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art. Her love for art expressed itself in many forms primarily through graphic design, but also through pencil drawings and painting commissioned for friends and family. Her art is proudly displayed by those who love her. In 1989, Lana moved to the low country to work for The Anderson Group. Fortunately, in 2006, Lana made the faith-filled decision to start her own graphic design business: Lana Lewis Design. She has enjoyed 18 years of designing logos, websites, brochures and magazines that communicated information in beautiful ways. Lana’s tenacity and sharp focus kept her always growing and adopting new avenues of communication expanding her business. In her own personal life, Lana experienced the satisfaction of knowing that she does indeed have the skills, focus and stamina to stay the course successfully. She will be remembered by her musical talents which she has enjoyed since childhood. She played keyboard and had a beautiful voice. She spent many years using these talents in worship environments along with her family who are also musically gifted. Her authentic love for the Lord and expressing this love through music has been inspirational to others worshipping with her. She leaves her family to cherish her memory: her husband Ken of Bluffton, SC and sons Drew of Charleston, SC and Jake of Charlotte, NC; sisters: Jayne Browning of Cumberland, KY, Linda (Jerry) Williams of Cumberland, KY, and Lou Ann (Michael) of Hilton Head Island, SC; and scores of other family and friends. You may visit with the family at Sauls  Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton, SC on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 11:30 to 1:00. The funeral will begin at 1:00 PM in the same location. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to The American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
