Larry Earvy Prince

Larry E. Prince, 75, of Estill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Larry dedicated 49 years of his life to working as a mechanic, a profession he loved and took great pride in. He owned and operated Larry's Garage for 23 years before continuing his career as the owner of L+E Garage for the next 26 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, mechanical skill, and willingness to help others.

Above all, Larry's greatest joy was his family. He shared a special bond with his beloved granddaughter, Katherine Prince, whose love and devotion brought him great comfort. She remained faithfully by his side until his passing, a testament to the close relationship they shared.

Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Prince, of the home; his son, Lawrence Prince of Hampton; his cherished granddaughter, Katherine Prince; his sister-in-law, Joanny Medis (Nick) of Allendale; his nieces and nephews, Amanda Tuten (Chip) of Furman, John Rutledge of Allendale, and Edward Rutledge (Toni) of Beaufort.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Charily Prince and Mannie Prince; his sisters, Marie Prince and Dorothy Long; his dear friend, Linda Prince; and his favorite uncle, Lewis Prince.

The family will receive friends from 11-12pm Thursday, July 16th at Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland, SC. Funeral service will begin at noon with burial to follow in Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
