Larry George Stephan

Larry George Stephan, 76, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Coastal Carolina Hospital.He was born in Canton, Ohio on September 29, 1935. He was the son of the late George and Martha Lehman Stephan.Larry was raised in Louisville, OH. After graduating from Louisville HS in 1953, he went on to graduate from Ohio State and then attended Kent State as a graduate student. He lived in Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Chicago, IL before retiring to Bluffton, SC. In Chicago he was an active member of the local Episcopalian Church. He was an Investment Banker. He was a Master Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a Shriner. He loved living in South Carolina and was a member of the Church of the Cross in Bluffton.He is survived by his wife, Susan Jane Cwik, one son, Peter Stephan (Laura) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and two daughters, Ellen Dimino (Michael) of Branchburg, New Jersey, and Paula Hartman (Robert) of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, and five grandchildren, Robert Hartman, Jessica Hartman, Audrey Stephan, Samuel Stephan, and Michael Dimino.Memorial Services will be held at the Church of the Cross in Bluffton, SC on Thursday January 5 at 11:00am.
